Architecture, as field of work, is the art and science of designing and building structures, such as churches, houses and bridges. But also organizations like enterprises and governmental institutions.  Architecture, as the architecture of a structure is: the total concept consisting of a set of coherent operative, decorative and constructive concepts (that is or to be) applied onto a structure. Architecture in general can be seen as a conceptual structure with the three dimensions of: operation, decoration and construction.

Graphic design, also known as communication design, is the art and practice of planning and projecting ideas and experiences with visual and textual content.  The form of the communication can be physical or virtual, and may include images, words, or graphic forms.

A garden is never finished—it is a creation that evolves from season-to-season and year-to-year. Experienced gardeners are well aware of this reality and have even come to enjoy the ephemeral nature of their landscapes.  If a plant outgrows its previous home, or performs less than adequately, they enjoy selecting its replacement.  When the seasons change, they enjoy seeing different plants take center stage and when drought or other climatic conditions strike, they enjoy meeting the challenge.
