The live bacteria are naturally ‘speckled’ in color, and this may be seen in a Bio-Kult capsule. Cut out sugar from your diet and increase vegetable intake

Sugar can feed yeast, so think about removing foods and drinks which are high in sugar such as chocolate, fizzy drinks and alcohol, to name a few.

You may also want to try cutting out refined carbohydrates and avoid yeast/mold containing foods (such as cheese, alcohol, dried fruit, bouillon cubes and peanuts), while consuming more naturally anti-fungal foods such as garlic and coconut oil.

Improve the quality and if necessary, the quantity of sleep

Sleep is essential to the effeciency of our immune systems. When we suffer from a lack of good quality sleep, we are more vulnerable to infections and illness, with our ability to fight these off and recover, diminished.

Try and go to bed at the same time each night, turning off screens an hour before bed, and avoid alcohol and caffeine which both affect sleep.

Practice good hygiene

Practicing good oral and genital hygiene (using water or natural products which don’t strip the body’s natural bacterial communities), drying the area properly and wearing cotton underwear may also be of benefit.

Smoking has also been shown to increase yeast within the body so if you have a tendency to suffer, this is another good reason to give it up.
